What you will learn in SLES

Focusing on real-world experiences, SLES is a one-year course with classes running 3 days a week. Participants’ learning centres on key professional skills and best practices in the workplace. Upon completion you will have a good understanding of the responsibilities of being an employee, have developed skills for life and grown confidence in travelling to work. Check out some of the skills you will gain through your learning journey:
Employability Skills
Gain knowledge on the expectations and responsibilities of being an employee. Understand punctuality, workplace behaviour, goal setting and presentation.
Workplace Skills
Deep-dive into teamwork, communication, time management, conflict resolution as well as the basics of numeracy and literacy so you can tackle any work task.
Travel Training
You will learn what transport options are available to you and how to safely travel from your home to your workplace with confidence and independence.
Work Experience
Put practice into play. Supported work experience gives you exposure to various work environments and roles, so you’re fully prepared before entering the workforce
Open Day & Virtual Info Sessions
We’re hosting a virtual information session and open day in our new locations, covering all you need to know about the SLES program, how it’s delivered and the outcomes you can expect to achieve.
