Muswellbrook gets active like no other. This hub located in the middle of town and has all kinds of group activities to get into the energy, including boxing, fitness, outdoor sports, swimming, woodworking and crafts, picnics and cooking classes. There’s truly something to get anyone up, about and surrounded with friends at the Muswellbrook hub.

Weekdays 9am to 3pm

Manic Mondays

Let’s start the week right by exercising and shaking off the weekend with Zumba on the big screen. Then we’ll build Skills For Life with our Planning a Menu program, with Sunnyfield’s very own Skills for Life iPad app and online research for healthy food options. In the afternoon we’ll play video games, cards or board games.

Terrific Tuesdays

We’ll start our morning with a walk through town to catch-up with our community, and pop into our favorite coffee shop for morning tea. We’ll build Skills for Life with our Budgeting Program and computer skills. Then we’ll choose a healthy recipe for lunch, head to the shops to purchase our ingredients and come back to the hub to create our own delicious masterpiece.

Wonderful Wednesdays

Wednesdays are for recovering and upcycling. We’ll use Pinterest and the Internet to research cool ideas to upcycle pieces of interest to beautify our hub or take home. Lunch is your choice at one of our local beautiful parks or gardens. In the afternoon we’ll listen to our favorite music while tending to our gardens by watering, weeding, and learning more about what we grow and how to use it in the kitchen.

Tremendous Thursdays

Fantastic Fridays

We’ll practice our Skills For Life Road Safety Program, learn about road safety, and build independence. Then we’ll go swimming at our local pools to learn basic water safety skills and have fun along the way. For lunch, we’ll head to our local club or hotel for a game of pool, and a  lunch of choice. Once a month will choose a fun activity such as the beach, Aqua Golf, Hunter Valley Zoo or gardens, movies, bowling, or enjoy a self-care activity like a manicure/pedicure.
