From weekly rehearsals to the big stage, the drama llamas are building confidence, creativity, and community through performance.
At Sunnyfield’s Port Stephens Hub, creativity is centre stage—literally. Meet the drama llamas—a spirited group of performers who are proving that confidence, teamwork, and a little bit of drama can go a long way.
Every three months, the drama llamas co-create a brand-new play, written collaboratively and brought to life through weekly rehearsals. Each participant takes on their own role, with plenty of laughter and excitement as they prepare for their big performance.
From handmade props to themed costumes, every detail is part of the experience. And the highlight? Performing for an audience of family, friends, and peers—where the room fills with cheers and proud smiles.
This year, the group reached new heights with a special appearance at Sunnyfield’s Got Talent, showcasing their hard work to an even bigger crowd—and wowing them in the process.
Of course, no show is complete without a proper celebration. After every performance, the drama llamas host a post-show brunch, turning the spotlight into a shared moment of pride and achievement.
Programs like these are more than just fun—they build communication, boost confidence, and create lasting friendships.
