New Mount Druitt Enterprises site opened

On 15 October, Senator the Hon Mitch Fifield, Assistant Minister for Social Services and Senator the Hon Marise Payne, Senator for Western Sydney and Minister for Human Services opened Sunnyfield Enterprises new facility located in Kurrajong Ave, Mount Druitt.

Sunnyfield Enterprises has the dual purpose of meeting business customer requirements whilst providing meaningful employment for people with disability.

Enterprises delivers commercial solutions to organisations seeking therapeutic goods administration (TGA) packaging, assembly, processing and packaging. In new modern premises at Mt. Druitt, the Enterprises team provide value for money services whilst meeting business customer specifications to high and exacting quality standards, in full and on-time.

As a Social Enterprise with over 70 people with disability (primarily intellectual disability), supported employees are engaged in meaningful work in a team, alongside staff to meet business customer expectations. Transition to Work program students learn new skills and gain experience to be ready to enter the workforce in a role of their choice. These premises will support new opportunities for Sunnyfield employees to develop their skills, experience and further develop their careers, whilst working in a supportive, friendly team environment.

The move to the new Mount Druitt site signifies the growth and success of Sunnyfield’s Western Sydney Enterprises which has outgrown its previous facilities in Minchinbury and North St. Marys. The new facility at Mount Druitt provides extensive warehouse and production space, modern offices and training rooms. This larger modern facility will support future expansion of Sunnyfield’s Supported Employment and Transition to Work Programs and enable growth in commercial business operations in Western Sydney.
