Tweed Heads Travel Training Crew on the Move

September 25, 2025

The Tweed Heads Travel Training crew turned a day on the bus into a fun, skill-building adventure with a scenic stop at Hastings Point.

The Tweed Heads Travel Training crew set off on another big day of learning and adventure, showing that building independence can be both practical and enjoyable.

This week’s session focused on key travel skills including reading timetables, buying tickets, navigating bus stops and staying safe while using public transport. After a successful morning on the route, the group enjoyed a well-deserved lunch at the beautiful Hastings Point, where smiles and stories were shared.

Weekly travel training is designed to help participants develop the skills and confidence they need to travel independently, while also exploring local sights and connecting with their community. As participant Zoe shared: “Today was a beautiful day—we had a wonderful lunch at Hastings Point!”

These moments highlight how Sunnyfield Community Services empower clients to build everyday skills while having fun along the way.
