Sunnyfield Allambie Comes Together for R U OK? Day

September 12, 2025

Clients, supported employees and staff gathered at Aspire Café, Allambie, to connect, share conversations and enjoy a community sausage sizzle in recognition of R U OK? Day.

The Aspire Café at Sunnyfield’s Allambie site was filled with warmth and conversation as the community came together to mark R U OK? Day.

The event created a welcoming space where clients, supported employees and staff could pause, check in with each other, and enjoy the simple pleasure of sharing a meal. From members of the Finance team to Allambie Community Services and supported employees, it was uplifting to see so many different parts of Sunnyfield gather in one place.

The sausage sizzle wasn’t just about good food — it was about creating opportunities for connection. R U OK? Day reminds us that a simple question can open the door to meaningful conversations, strengthen relationships, and show genuine care within the workplace and community. “Best BBQ ever!”

Moments like these reflect Sunnyfield’s vision: to be the best place for people with disability to live, learn, work, have fun, make friends, and get help when needed.
