Heroes with Ability Gala Day Brings Sport, Fun and Connection to Western Sydney

September 11, 2025

Sunnyfield clients from western Sydney recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at the heroes with ability gala day, an event designed to celebrate inclusion through sport.

The program, running over ten weeks, gives participants the chance to try their hand at a variety of sports — from soccer and basketball to football, volleyball and more. Each activity helps build confidence, fitness, and social connections, while creating plenty of opportunities for fun.

The gala day was a highlight of the program, giving clients the chance to showcase their sporting skills and enjoy the energy of a community coming together. To top it all off, the program will wrap up with a community dance party — complete with karaoke and plenty of good times.

Sunnyfield is proud to support initiatives like heroes with ability, which create opportunities for people with disability to try something new, get active, and connect with their community.
