How accommodation and support work together.

Sunnyfield collaborates and works with accommodation providers who deliver housing solutions, including Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). These providers manage the home and tenancy, while Sunnyfield delivers the day-to-day supports within the home. Sunnyfield also owns and operates four properties where it provides both accommodation and support services. This approach enables people to live in purpose-built environments with tailored support to live, learn, work and belong. Below are Sunnyfield’s current accommodation providers.

Sunnyfield entered into a commercial agreement with Gateway 2015 Properties Limited (Gateway) in 2015 to collaborate with and expand access to high-quality accommodation options in response to growing demand. Gateway delivers a large portfolio of purpose-built homes, with Sunnyfield supporting people living in these environments.

This ongoing relationship enables more people to access stable, well-designed housing with the right supports in place to live more independently.

In 2020, Sunnyfield established an agreement to collaborate and work with Edenbridge Living to expand access to accessible, contemporary housing for people with disability. Edenbridge delivers homes aligned to individual needs, while Sunnyfield provides supports within the home.

Together, this approach supports people to transition into suitable living environments as opportunities arise, with a focus on independence, safety and community connection.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an accommodation provider?

An accommodation provider is an organisation that owns or leases accommodation including specialist housing for people with disabilities.
They are responsible for the property. This responsibility includes:
• Property ownership or lease management
• Maintenance and compliance
• Tenancy arrangements
• Ensuring the home meets Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) standards
Accommodation providers do not deliver daily support. Support is normally delivered by a separate registered NDIS provider.

Why does Sunnyfield collaborate and work with accommodation providers?

Sunnyfield delivers support.

Accommodation providers provide the physical home, often referred to as bricks and mortar along with other property solutions like clinical hubs for days services to be people with disabilities.

This separation ensures:
• Clear roles and responsibilities
• Compliance with NDIS requirements
• Transparency for residents and families
• High standards for both housing and support
Working with specialist accommodation providers allows Sunnyfield to focus on delivering person-centred support, while ensuring residents live in safe, well-designed homes.
