2010 Bledisloe Cup Lunch
On Friday, September 2010
The Legends Clubs invited Sunnyfield to join their annual Bledisloe Cup Lunch in Sydney as one of their event charity partners. The Bledisloe Cup Lunch was held at the Town Hall, Sydney and attended by 730 business leaders and sports personalities, including: Mark Ella, Tim Horan, David Campese, Jason Little, Brendan Cannon and Murray Mexted.
The event gave guests a unique experience, interacting with their sporting heroes, while celebrating the festive season with clients, colleagues and friends and included an array of fine food, beverages and entertainment. Sunnyfield would like to thank The Legends Club and their guests for generously supporting them with fundraising donations in excess of $13,000, and to Ricoh Australia, Holman Webb Lawyers, the ASG Group, Lumley Insurance, F Mayer Imports and Neale Parnaby, Sunnyfield Director for purchasing business tables and individual tickets to the event.
2009 Sunnyfield Golf Day – A Day on the Green
This annual event in October brings business people and celebrities together. Participants have an opportunity to network and entertain clients.
Brand Opportunities include Hole in One, High Exposure Hole, Hole, Tee and Team sponsorships, as well as profile given on the day and online to businesses who donate products for the silent auction.
The Golf Day helps to support Sunnyfield Independence Fund. In NSW there are currently 128,000 people with a severe or profound disability and only 8,400 of these people live in supported accommodation. This means families are responsible for providing care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This places enormous strain on the family unit. Sunnyfield is seeking to address this disparity through its Independence Fund. The fund is a vehicle used to purchase or modify housing for people with a disability, so that they can live as part of the community. 100 per cent of profit from the golf day supports this project. Thank you to our sponsors who make this type of fund raining event a success.
Sunnyfield Beaches Breakfast expanded to Central Coast in 2010
Sunnyfield's successful annual Beaches Breakfast in Manly was expanded up to the thriving Central Coast in May 2010. A local flavour was maintained in this inaugural year when we welcomed ABC radio host Mr Scott Lev, as MC and a selection of local celebrities and personalities including the Mayor of Gosford, the Member for Wyong and Greg Florimo from the Central Coast Bears. There was a keynote address by Australian business guru, Bill Moss AM. There was also an address by Lorna Ellis, whose son is supported by Sunnyfield, which provided an emotional insight into the disability care and services that Sunnyfield has been providing on the Central Coast for over eight years.
Northern Beaches Breakfast event reaches new high water mark
In March 2010 the cream of business, government and celebrities in Sydney's Northern Beaches came together to celebrate the rich potential of the intellectually disabled people that Sunnyfield support. To mark the occasion, Sunnyfield was again honoured to receive a cheque for $80,000 from Ricoh managing director, Les Richardson, towards our Independence Fund. Ricoh has now donated nearly one million dollars over a 14 year period.
