About Us

For 60 years, Sunnyfield has been supporting people with intellectual disabilities on their road to more independent lives.

Originally established in 1952 by a group of innovative parents, keen to create opportunities for their children with disabilities, we started as the Sunnyfield School (now known as Fisher Road School).

As an Association of families, we soon expanded from Dee Why and moved to our current site at 185 Allambie Road, Allambie Heights where we developed our first hostel (a larger congregate care centre), and later an activity therapy centre and accommodation facility. Sunnyfield has continued to grow to become one of the largest, most progressive and innovative disability service providers in NSW.
